Cultural Events

  • Kingston Welcomes Korea in 2015 was the first British festival to engage at depth with a culture other than its own, and the first to demonstrate that international commerce and culture go hand in hand.
  • Kingston Carnival is one of the biggest carnivals this side of Notting Hill, attracting thousands of visitors to enjoy a traditional parade, food stalls, children’s activities and two live music stages.
  • The International Youth Arts Festival is the largest celebration of youth arts in the country.
  • The Food Festival, organised by Kingstonfirst, celebrates the best regional and international produce and cuisine.
  • Kingston Regatta, an annual event since 1857, features around 275 races including dragon boat racing. It is run by Kingston Rowing Club, founded in 1858.
  • Kingston hosted part of the Prudential RideLondon Festival featuring 150 world class cyclists including Sir Bradley Wiggins and Mark Cavendish.
