A new pub and 64 new homes are in the pipeline for New Malden if two applications to develop a pub and separately, a filling station, are approved by Kingston Council.
Gracilis is seeking to restore The Fountain pub in Malden Road and erect a five-storey building on the site to provide 43 one, two and three bedroom flats. There would also be parking on the site and opportunities for retail or cafe use.
Consultation has just closed on the proposal and a decision is likely in April.
Under a separate application from Langham Homes, a service station in Coombe Road would be demolished and replaced with a four-storey building containing 21 new homes and commercial floorspace at ground level.
Consultation closes this month and a decision is expected in March.
