The new Draft London Plan which shapes how the city evolves, is expected to be published on November 29.
Consultation on the document will continue until March 2, with an Examination in Public scheduled for autumn next year, and final publication due in autumn 2019.
The Mayor’s London Plan is the overall strategic plan for London, for the next 20-25 years. It is one of the most crucial documents for the city, and what it contains shapes how London evolves and develops over coming years.
The London Plan sets the policy framework for local plans in all London boroughs, and its policies should be followed when planning decisions are made.
Kingston council is working closely with the Greater London Authority to ensure its emerging Local Plan 2019-2041 is in general conformity with the emerging London Plan.
